Club Rides

Beachy Head Cycling Club is a club for everyone. Whether you’re looking for social rides, fast-paced training rides or even both – we’ve got you covered.

We’re a very welcoming bunch and everyone is welcome to join our club rides, including non-members. There’s no pressure to join the club, but we think you will enjoy our rides so much, you’ll want to join anyway.

Helmets are compulsory on all rides and if you’re joining us on an evening ride you must bring lights too.

Like our Facebook page for all the latest ride updates and join the conversation in our Facebook group.

Monday Night Zig-Zags

Returns Monday 12th April 2021 (Social Distancing Rules May Apply)

Join us for hill reps on the Upper Jukes Drive switchbacks. This is a great training ride for anyone wanting to improve their climbing. Ride at your own pace, we’ll re-group at the top and descend together before doing it all over again (and again, and again…). It’s alot of fun and the banter is always good!

Tuesday Night Social (TNS)

Returns Tuesday 13th April 2021 (Social Distancing Rules May Apply)

A nice and easy pace social ride that’s suitable for everyone (10-13mph average). This ride is great for new riders who want to find out more about the club and experience group riding in quiet country lanes. Rides often finish at the pub for a beer and a chat.

The TNS is a weekly ride that takes place throughout British Summer Time (BST). Confirmed ride details are published via member emails and the Facebook messenger club chat.

This ride follows the BHCC strict no-drop policy.

Wednesday Night Bash!

Our Wednesday night training ride through the Autumn & Winter months is very dependent on the weather. If it’s dry we head out for a flat fast paced ride with a twist, our ride leader will get you all sprinting for signs and pushing your limits. We never go far, maybe 15-25 miles, but you will come home with jelly legs and a smile on your face.
During the Spring & Summer we will be riding paceline out to Bexhill along the coastal roads or doing a fast loop to Gally Hill.
Note: This ride does not follow the no-drop policy.

Saturday Breakfast Club

Returns Saturday 10th April 2021 (Social Distancing Rules May Apply)

There’s no better way to start your weekend. Join a great group of welcoming guys and girls as we head out into the quiet lanes of The Sussex Weald. We’ll cover some good distance at a nice and steady pace and we’ll always stop for breakfast (or cake) mid-ride.

This ride often includes 2 different loops that divide close to Eastbourne. The first loop is ideal for anyone wanting a slower pace or is short on time. This is always a no-drop ride.

Check our Facebook page for planned routes and latest updates,

BHCC Goes Off-Road

Returns Sunday 18th April 2021 (Social Distancing Rules May Apply)

Join us on the first Sunday of every month when we’ll be going off-road. This ride – suitable for all abilities (MTB or Gravel) – will be heading out on to the South Downs for a bit of cross-country and single-track.

Sometimes we’ll go to Bedgebury Forest, so check our Facebook page for the latest ride updates and keep an eye on our Facebook Events page for the next Bedgebury trip.
